Exhibition on Egypt: The Egyptians and the gifts of the Nile

From April 13 to October 26, the magnificent Palazzo Garofalo in Ragusa, a gem of Sicilian Baroque architecture, will host an exceptional exhibition dedicated to Egypt, one of history’s most mysterious and captivating civilizations. Titled "The Egyptians and the Gifts of the Nile," this exhibition is promoted by the Municipality of Ragusa and organized by Arthemisia in collaboration with the renowned Egyptian Museum of Turin. It invites visitors to immerse themselves in the timeless world of Ancient Egypt.

This immersive experience spans over three thousand years of Egyptian history, from the Predynastic Period (3600 BC) to the Greco-Roman era (642 AD). Through original artifacts from the Egyptian Museum of Turin, visitors will explore the lives of pharaohs, sacred rites, artistic expressions, and the traditions that defined Egypt. Each item serves as a silent witness to the essence of a civilization whose legacy continues to inspire the world.

Egypt comes to life through architecture, painting, sculpture, coroplastics, and jewelry, offering a comprehensive perspective on its major and minor arts. Each piece is accompanied by informative texts that reveal the historical background, symbolism, and techniques of Ancient Egypt.

The story of Egypt is not only one of empires and deities; it is also a narrative about artisans, artists, and thinkers who shaped an enduring cultural legacy.
