Inverdurata 2026

The 2026 Inverdurata will take place in Pachino from 8 to 10 May along Via Cavour and represents one of the most fascinating and characteristic events of the Sicilian spring. Every year, this event attracts thousands of visitors, attracted by the magic of the plant mosaics that transform the historic center of Pachino into a real open-air museum. Art takes shape through the skilful use of vegetables and land products: courgettes, celery, onions, peppers, aromatic herbs, and, of course, the famous Pachino tomato, the undisputed symbol of the territory.

The 2026 edition of the Inverdurata is dedicated to the theme of Francis, Patron Saint of Italy. The Song of Creatures: universal and modern legacy of humility, love, and brotherhood. A theme that invites us to reflect on the harmonious relationship between man and nature, the beauty of creation, and the values of simplicity and respect that characterize the Franciscan tradition. This common thread makes the event particularly significant, as it unites spirituality, creativity, and territory into a single great visual narrative. Each sketch, each plant carpet, thus becomes a message of peace, balance, and gratitude towards the earth.

During the Inverdurata, it will be possible to witness the creation of the mosaics, closely observing the meticulous work of artists, associations, schools, and volunteers who, with patience and dedication, compose the works directly on the asphalt. The exhibition itinerary is also enriched with collateral events: tastings of typical products, workshops for children, evening shows, guided tours, and cultural moments that tell the story and traditions of south-eastern Sicily. It is a perfect opportunity to discover the area's agri-food excellence, from PGI tomato to Iblean culinary specialties.

The Inverdurata is not just an artistic event, but a complete sensorial experience: intense colours, earthy scents, festive sounds, and authentic flavors intertwine to create a unique atmosphere. For those who love photography, nature, art, and local traditions, this event represents an unmissable moment.
